Vinegar works great on sinks and showerheads, too. To clean a sink with vinegar, simply pour out a small amount, scrub, and flush with hot water. To clean a showerhead with white vinegar, fill a bag with it and then place the bag over the showerhead so that the entire fixture is soaking in the vinegar. Secure with a rubber band or twist-tie and let sit overnight. The next morning, remove the bag and wipe the showerhead clean.
One more area of the bathroom that you should deep clean on a regular basis is the toilet. Even though there are several different toilet cleaners on the market, the most effective way to really deep clean a toilet is by using baking soda. Simply pour a cup of baking soda into the toilet bowl and let sit for about five minutes. Brush thoroughly with a toilet brush and then flush to rinse.
Lastly, if your Fremont rental home’s bathroom has tile, you will need to deep clean the grout regularly to avoid bacteria growth. Bleach and a grout brush are the best ways to lighten discolored grout lines and kill anything trying to grow between your tile. To really keep grout watertight, reseal it every six months or so to keep moisture and bacteria out. Bleach can also be utilized to address any mold growing in windowsills or other areas. Simply mix one part bleach to two parts water and scrub any mold spots with a sponge.
